HOD Message
Our department has a solid team of highly qualified and experienced physicians who have the capability to provide the best clinical care, and can diagnose and manage several medical conditions such as diabetes, poisoning, fever, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, blood pressure issues, viral diseases, to name a few. We aim to ensure that everyone has access to basic and advanced healthcare services, even if they do not live near metropolitan areas. Most of our doctors reside on the campus, and are easily accessible in case of any emergencies. We also endeavour to ensure that patient satisfaction is our priority
Good quality healthcare is a right, and we do our best to ensure that our patients have no hindrance in accessing the same. The department can handle and treat acute and chronic diseases, infections and lifestyle health issues by using state of the art facilities and the latest medical equipment to attend to the needs of our patients, who deserve the best care and comfort in times of medical emergencies and pain. We attend to basic and advanced cases of fever, breath related issues, blood pressure and tuberculosis, to name a few.
We provide the following services:
Poisoning And Snake Bites
We specialize in treating cases of snake bites and poisoning, and attend to patients suffering from the same on a regular basis with a stellar success rate. Snake bites and poisoning related issues are rarely venomous, with around six fatal cases a year, but they need to be taken very seriously. More often than not, venomous snake bites do not kill the victim, but can lead to poisoning, and efficient treatment is the best way to ensure the recovery of the patient, and we specialise in the same. We get numerous cases of snake bites and poisoning as they are quite common in the neighbouring areas of our hospital, and have made it a point to personalise the cases according to the needs of our patients.
Fever And Infectious Diseases
Fever is among the most common medical issues that any hospital attends to, and we are no exception. As common as fever is, we deal with it in a wide variety of cases. We specialise in catering to fever related to diseases such as dengue, chikungunya and malaria, and also brain fever, viral, among others, and have a highly successful track record in all these cases. We aim to ensure that our patients make a full recovery from all the ailments they suffer from, no matter how routine they may be.
Blood Pressure
We cater to both high and low blood pressure, and provide diagnosis, medication and treatment of the same. Blood pressure is the force that moves blood through our circulatory system, and is a critical part of our health because oxygen and nutrients would not be pushed around our circulatory system to nourish tissues and organs without blood pressure. If someone’s blood pressure is too high, it becomes dangerous as the heart works harder than normal to pump blood out to the body and can contribute to atherosclerosis, to stroke, kidney disease, and heart failure. On the other hand, low blood pressure can be equally dangerous as it can cause inadequate blood flow to vital organs. It can also be a sign of heart, endocrine or neurological conditions. Blood pressure is a tricky condition as it can be a symptom of a pre-existing medical condition, or be the cause of one, and thus has to be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible, and our highly experienced physicians and support staff work consistently and efficiently to ensure that our patients receive the due care as soon as possible.
Diabetes
Our highly qualified team of doctors and support staff are adept and highly experienced in diagnosing and treating both type 1 and type 2 diabetes among both children and adults. Diabetes is a chronic health condition that affects how your body turns food into energy, and our team will guide you along the way in treating this long term problem by helping you make changes to your lifestyle and prescribe medication and long term solutions. While diabetes is becoming increasingly common, this should not lead to negligence, which can often have dangerous long term consequences, and our team takes every case with the utmost seriousness, no matter how widespread the issue becomes across the population. We also aim to increase awareness and foster vigilance amongst the local population.
